How to Set Up IPTV on a Smart TV (Samsung, LG & Android TV)

Install and configure IPTV on Samsung Tizen, LG webOS and Android/Google TV. Native apps, no extra hardware, set up in minutes with your WatchifyTV login.

TL;DR
Most Smart TVs run IPTV without extra hardware. On Samsung (Tizen) or LG (webOS), install IBO Player or IPTV Smarters Pro from the app store; on Android / Google TV, install TiviMate from the Play Store. Then log in with the Xtream Codes details we send you and you're watching in minutes.

Most modern Smart TVs can run IPTV natively — no Firestick or box required. The exact app depends on your TV's operating system, so this guide covers the three big ones: Samsung (Tizen), LG (webOS) and Android / Google TV.

You'll need your WatchifyTV login (username, password and server URL) which we send on WhatsApp or email right after you order.

Samsung Smart TV (Tizen)

  1. Open the Samsung App Store from your TV's home screen.
  2. Search for and install IBO Player, Smart IPTV or IPTV Smarters Pro.
  3. Open the app — it will display a MAC address and a website to register your device.
  4. Send us that MAC address on WhatsApp and we'll link your subscription, or enter your login directly if the app supports Xtream Codes.

LG Smart TV (webOS)

  1. Open the LG Content Store.
  2. Install IBO Player or IPTV Smarters Pro.
  3. Open it and either enter your Xtream Codes login (username, password, server URL) or register the device MAC address with us.

Android TV & Google TV

This is the easiest setup — Android TV runs the full Play Store.

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your TV.
  2. Install TiviMate (best experience) or IPTV Smarters Pro.
  3. Open the app, choose Xtream Codes / API login, and enter your username, password and server URL.

Logging in with Xtream Codes

Whichever app you use, prefer the Xtream Codes API login over a plain M3U link. The API gives you:

  • A proper TV guide (EPG) with now/next programming
  • Organised channel categories and country groups
  • Separate Movies and Series libraries with posters

Common Smart TV issues

  • App won't install: older TVs (pre-2018) may not have a compatible app — use a cheap Firestick or Android box instead.
  • Buffering on 4K channels: switch to the FHD feed, or connect the TV by Ethernet for a stable connection.
  • Channels not loading: double-check the server URL for typos, including http:// and the port number.
